One really simple way to take yourself off on adventure and surprise yourself by visiting an unknown destination is to head to your local train station, go to the ticket machine and on the list of destinations simply close your eyes and randomly hit the screen. Wherever your finger lands, that's where you go...
It's a great way to break from the norm, explore somewhere new and add some excitement to your day without breaking the bank. As a photographer it is a great way for me to challenge myself with my camera and photograph somewhere new and different, rather than getting bored of the familiarisation of my local area.
All in all it gives me a fun day out, it's exciting not knowing where Ill end up and it helps to boost my creativity and inspiration.
